The highest positive reputation possible that can only be achieved with one companion is Loving. For positive reputation with factions and companions the scale goes from Neutral to Nice to Friendly. It is possible for a companion to leave your group if your reputation with them becomes too negative. You start out as Suspicious (negative reputation) with all factions and companions. Negative reputation is red and positive reputation is green.
